25 years of tradition
The original Chen's Dynasty opened in Portland in 1985 under the Master Chef, Mr Chen. The restaurant quickly earned a reputation as one of Portland's best Chinese eateries. After his death, Mr Chen's wife continued running the family business, opening two more restaurants in the Northwest Portland area. In 2008 Mrs. Chen retired, leaving the restaurant to Jacob Echeverria, a long-time associate who had learned all the recipes from Mr. Chen. Since then, Mr Echeverria has dedicated himself to carrying on Mr Chen's culinary legacy by maintaining the Master Chef's unique style of Szechuan and Hunan recipes. Today, Chen's Dynastry is once again expanding. A new Chen's restaurant opened in the Fall of 2011 in Northeast Portland at 1025 NE Broadway St. |
