'Just love this place'
Just love this place.. me and my sons go there regularly. Its the most consistent in taste i have had almost for the last 12+ years. Service can be a bit patchy and slow at times. We have been regular and dont expect any special treatment, and they have always taken good care of us. Sezchuan Sesame Chicken is my favorite item here... Spicy Brocholi beef is also awesome. Their lunch specials at 5.95 simply worth it. RIght sized for a quick lunch. They also have Gardien (some tofu variety) that tastes like Chicken.. in a certain month i have to go veggy the whole month, this is a neat sub!

'I would eat here again'
In the Bethany area there isn't a lot of choices for food places that are good. This place was good for the dish I ordered and i would eat here again if up in this area. I ordered the dynasty chow fun and they were nice enough to make some slight changes to it. This dish comes with shrimp, beef, and pork , a few veggies and the wide rice noodles. The portion size was good and the flavor was really good and was spicy enough with the changes I requested. The service was good with about 20 minutes to order and get my food. The wait staff were also good and they would frequently stop by and fill up my water glass. The price was under $9 which is good since most places I go for that same dish are much more than that. This is may not be the best place to go for other dishes, but for a chinese restaurant, the food I ate, and the service etc I'm giving it 4 stars.

'Excellent'
Wow, what a nice surprise! A clean restaurant, really sweet waitress and best of all, great food. We ordered 2 appetizers and 4 different main dishes and everyone was thrilled with the food. Excellent. We will be back. Thanks Chen's!

'Delicious'
This food was delicious and the service was excellent!! The waitress was extremely nice and the Chang sia chicken was delicious and in a big portion!! They give a generous amount of rice and at lunch time even soup and a spring roll! I go often with my family or coworkers for lunch or dinner! Plus the tea is just delicious! I definately recommend to anyone who wants delicious Chinese food!!

'Can't say enough about this place'
Totally worth the insane drive from NE to get here! They can, and will, make any meat dish on the menu with soy or gluten! This is a fantastic option for Chinese loving vegetarians! The "chicken" and broccoli is my favorite, but the "beef" and broccoli is also fantastic. We used to make the drive every month or so, and it was totally worth it, but the price of gas has had us rethinking our favorite Chinese spot unfortunately. I can't say enough about this place, it's an absolutely fantastic option for vegetarians.

"Best Chinese food in Portland Metro'
I think this place makes the best Chinese food in the Portland Metro area and I will cheerfully drive 40 minutes to get it. I am a lifelong Chinese food addict and when I moved here from New York I was sorely disappointed by the Chinese food on offer (I love Portland, but it's true.). I believe I have tried just about every place in town. Chen's Dynasty was recommended to me by a vegan friend and I am so thrilled to have found it. The standard dishes are wonderful, very flavorful, the vegetables are fresh and never overcooked. It's an wonderful find for vegetarians and vegans as well. Any meaty dish can be prepared meat-free (with the exception of the pork-containing hot and sour soup, alas). At Chen's Dynasty they do it right, not with blocks of tofu (unless requested), but with really tasty, nicely textured meat substitutes.

The atmosphere is what I'd describe as "classic American Chinese food restaurant" with a large fish tank and plenty of booth seating. There are spacious circular booths for large groups. Bring your friends, seriously, they'll be glad you did, and you can save on gas by carpooling. If I could afford the commute I would eat here twice a week. At least. Maybe more. Definitely more actually.
